Working Party 14th March: Despite Covid-19, the promise of fair weather ensured a good turnout of volunteers.

Ian as usual set out the tasks and supplied the weaponry.

Coffee and biscuits were kindly supplied by Eileen, and barrowed to the workers by Guy.

We worked on the hedges bordering the main track, with further activity in the lake meadow and the reed bed.

Ian using the amazing tree popper to extract a recalcitrant root.

Here work continues to prepare the first third of the reed bed for de-brambling.

A large expanse of the Lower Meadow is under water, and the path glutinous.

It was good to see Eileen well recovered and back on form.

Towards the end of March, the weather improved and the Lower Meadow began to dry out.
