Working Parties:
These take place about half a dozen times a year, on Saturdays between 10 and 12 noon, with a break halfway through (tea, coffee and biscuits   supplied).

Everyone is welcome. Come in old clothes with stout footwear, gardening gloves, secateurs, loppers etc. We meet at the top of the Reserve,   near  the Glen Avon Park entrance.   

Work may include activities such as seed collecting, bonfires, clearing bramble etc, hedge work and weeding.

                                                        ISRAELI WILDLIFE - Migration in Action

In this illustrated talk Ed will explore the wealth of resident and migrant birdlife which he observed during a visit to Israel in the autumn (2011).

Ed is a naturalist who broadcasts regularly on radio and has appeared frequently on televison. He acts a as a consultant and 'nature detective' in a variety of situations in his spare time. By day he works as the Learning Officer for the Bristol Dinosaur Project at the University of Bristol. He has a website at www.eddrewitt.co.uk.
          
                               

The talk will start at 8pm in the Hulbert Room, behind St Mary's Church.
